Yes, it's been a long time, but life gets in the way

Yeap - it's me.

And yes, life gets in the damn way. Between work, stress about work, my hubs getting sick, hosptial bills, my own injuries and more.... life has been sh@t.

*sigh*

But in other bad news - I've regained weight. I'm very sad, but I'm working on it. Doctor appt next week - let's hope I can figure out a few things (and if you understood I hate doctors). I'm trying to get back to the gym (Anytime Fitness) as well as get a front brake for my cruiser bike.

In other related fitness type news - I recently got my Fitbit Flex replaced by Fitbit. I purchased one in Feb of 2014 and it was going great until the last month or so, it started acting up charging. It got real hard to get the tracker to charge - I cleaned the contacts, cleaned the charger, tried different computers & USB chargers, and reset the unit SEVERAL times. Finally, it wouldn't charge anymore :(

Contacted Fitbit, went back and forth a few emails, then they sent me a new one :) Few days later, got the replacement (dropped off the old one @ Best Buy for electronic recycling) and all is well in my FitBit world again :}

In more news - Endomondo (cell tracker app) released a SMARTWATCH app for my Samsung Gear 2 Neo. Why should we care? Well, with this app - it syncs to the phone and pulls data from the watch. What data? Heart Rate data & pedometer data = both are functions of the Gear 2 Neo watch. Sweet :}

There are a few issues - you have to use the FREE version of the app rather than the PRO version (which cost me 4.99) and it pulls ALL the pedometer data. I have my watch set to sync it's data to the phone's S Fitness every day @ midnight, so on Endo a entry shows up for a strange reading = 3.7 miles in 5-7 hours. Threw me for a loop until I figured what was going on. Last weird thing - first day, the data went to MFP, second day, it wouldn't. So, I have to add it to MFP or let Fitbit do it's thing. LOL.... so close, so close.

Ok, few more things - On Kickstarter I found something called Lumafit. It's a tracker that hangs on your ear, clips on the lobe and pulls data, syncing to several cell apps. Of course I backed it, delivery is supposed to be sometime late this year. I went with this over several over trackers on Kickstarter because it leaves the ear free for your own earphones.

And speaking of earphones, another Kickstarter I backed was Ownphones. 3D printed custom earphones. YEAH.... :} These I can't wait for. They aren't a tracker (like other Kickstarters) but they will be designed to FIT YOUR EARS! No guessing what size you need, fighting to keep them in (which I always do) and they can be made in tons of different configurations & w/ or w/out an LED. These are gonna be killer!

Ok, last thing.... Ever heard of Solyent Green? Well, someone has made modern (non-human) Solyent replacement food. Not only that, he's made a whole forum so people can make their own versions. I've made my own recepie - I've ordered all the materials and I'm looking for an air-tight storage container. I'm planning on making mine for work, breakfast & lunch only, keto (low-card) and for weight loss. I'll do up a separate post with more information soon.
